  1. When the cash in the combined hands is sufficient to
  2. make game*, I usually make it my chief mission in
  3. life to to remove the trumps from the opponent's
  4. hands.

  6. However there are exceptions:
  7. Sometimes I have to play some other suit first to
  8. get to my partner's hand because I want to finesse
  9. in trumps or I just don't have any trumps.  With
  10. some hands my trump suit may be too weak to play
  11. until later in the game.  Finally it may be
  12. necessary to remove a blocker in another suit.
